CRM Email Marketing Integration: Whiteboard Wednesday Episode 2

I was thinking about Whiteboard Wednesday this week but then I was like – I want to give you an over the shoulder instead of a whiteboard today.
It’s time to learn about the behind scenes – nuts and bolts of how things work in the automation world.

What is Inbound Marketing?

It’s having people come to you instead of you going out to find them – chasing them.
That’s called obstructive marketing, intrusive marketing, interruption marketing, it’s YOU calling them, you’re doing the work going to them, influencing them, telling them that you’re the latest and greatest – the best thing out there, and your product is the best.

Everyone’s doing that. 🙁
Inbound Marketing is finding out what people are looking for, producing the product / content and tailoring your message so they are coming to you.
It’s SO much easier to offer something that people want.

Look at the screen – topic of today:

Customer Relationship Management CRM Email Marketing / Automation Integration

The importance of CRM email marketing integration with your automation. Whoa.

You want to find out what people are clicking on, what they’re looking at, you want to learn more about each and every person that comes to you so you can have the solution for what they’re looking for – before you even reach out to them.

Well, using the Conversion Marketing 101 platform *selfless plug* you have an activity stream of what’s going on like:

  • New subscribers
  • Unsubscribers
  • New Deals so you can work or see what you’re staff is working on

Contact Form Automation: Going back to the “Contact Us” form, we’re going to take a look at the Welcome Email – it’s super important, you need to look at the stats.

  • Are they opening your email?
  • Are they clicking through? What are they clicking on?
  • Who clicked the link to your blog? Who clicked the link to the tips?

You can track interactivity by what they’re clicking on, you can see their interests with CRM email marketing integration. (See previous post about Contact Form Automation needed prior to this)

Now I’m not going to go into details about what each person is interested in, but I can tell you you can – and that you can make it automated.

You know their interested by what they’re clicking on, that’s really important. You can validate a lead, see how interested they are, and all automated – you don’t need to do the work, the automation can.

You want to know everything and anything about people before you even contact them, you do that by tracking where they went on your website, looking at activity levels. You can dial in to each contact if you’re a micro-manager.

Today I’m going to show you some information about Soozy – she’s one of our partners (and clients) who volunteered to use her data as an example.
SHe’s looking at our Whiteboard Wednesday video, she went to some other links on the website like or Virtually There blog and she’s very active on the website.

Now imagine that as YOUR client.

This information is very valuable, information is King. I don’t know how you’re managing your contacts or your lists, but segmentation is very important for the best application of CRM email marketing.

Now people have probably thought inbound marketing was too pricey because they saw it from the team that monopolized it all – but this can be done for less than 100 bucks a month, so don’t be frightened by the Stickershock of Hubspot Pricing. You can easily do this with the Conversion Marketing 101 platform, or even Aweber and Mailchimp if you pay for the automation features. Of course, they’re not as nice as the CM101 though 🙂

In summary, the importance of CRM Email Marketing Integration cannot be understated. You really want to understand your visitors, the data is very important, and the time you take to set up the automation will save you countless time in the big picture. Automation is really the key to a successful business because there are only so many hours in the day – and we need to utilize our time wisely to keep our production and output high – and our wasteful time low.
