VA Staffer was born out of necessity, hustle, and a vision to redefine what virtual assistants can do for entrepreneurs and growing businesses.
In 2014, our founder, Jeff J Hunter, was working as a project manager for a Fortune 500 company, buried under an avalanche of documentation and admin tasks. In search of breathing room, he hired a virtual assistant out of his own pocket. What happened next was unexpected—his productivity skyrocketed, and soon his colleagues were asking how they could get the same support.
What started with a single virtual assistant on Fiverr quickly turned into a fast-growing team. But Jeff’s path wasn’t without struggle. Between corporate burnout, a family health crisis, and personal heartbreak, he realized that the traditional 9-to-5 could no longer support the life he wanted to build.
In 2016, he walked away from corporate life to pursue VA Staffer full-time—and never looked back. He and his wife moved to the Philippines, slashed living costs, and focused all-in on building a company that empowered both clients and virtual assitant
Fast forward to November 2022, Jeff J Hunter was running a successful virtual staffing company. His team had grown to more than 150 people, helping hundreds of clients and businesses. Life was good, or so he thought.
Then ChatGPT came out and everything changed.
At first, Jeff felt sick to his stomach. Would AI take over his business? Would clients stop needing virtual assistants?
Instead of giving up, Jeff did what any savage would do and decided to face the challenge head-on. He spent the next 90 days learning everything he could about AI. He even flew to the Philippines to meet with his team and teach them how to use AI tools like ChatGPT.
His commitment to embracing AI didn't stop there. He launched the AI Persona Method and the AI Certified Consultant program, aiming to equip professionals with the skills needed to thrive in an AI-driven landscape.

She also mentors EAs and supports squad leaders, providing coaching, feedback, and the tools they need to succeed in delivering top-tier service.
Executive Assistant Trainer & Squad Leader
Karlen trains new Executive Assistants to be proactive, client-ready professionals, with a strong focus on admin skills, AI tools, and communication excellence. She is also Ysabelle’s Executive Assistant, doing scheduling and documentation. As a Squad Leader, she supports team performance and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Creatives Team Lead & Project Manager
Benz leads the Creatives team, managing task delegation and ensuring client needs are met with high-quality work. He assesses each project, matches it with the right team member, and maintains close collaboration with the team to deliver polished, on-brand creative outputs across multiple client accounts.
Web Development & Automation Project Manager
Rhodora leads client web and automation projects from onboarding to delivery, turning visions into action plans and ensuring timelines and quality standards are met. Internally, she works closely with developers and designers, manages timelines, and she also handles payroll and internal operations to keep everything running smoothly.
AI Bot Builder & Specialist
Nethaneel designs custom AI solutions that automate marketing, copywriting, admin tasks, and more, helping businesses save time and cut costs. He’s working closely with Jeff J Hunter to transform client project briefs into fully built AI tools, taking full ownership from concept to execution.
